Painted Desert has an experienced staff of PGA Professionals to provide golfers of all abilities world-class instruction. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran of the game just looking for some expert pointers, we’ve got you covered. Along with our outstanding teaching professionals, the Painted Desert Golf Club practice facility provides an ideal learning environment.

Bear Harris, Golf Instructor

A professional golfer and Swing & Player Development Coach with 7 years of instructional experience, Bear began his coaching career at Hammond Golf Academy in Columbus, Ohio, and played collegiate golf at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia. He turned professional in 2021 and has since served as Lead Coach for The First Tee of Northern Nevada, a coach for Nike Junior Golf Camps, and as an instructor and Master Club Fitter at Golf NV and Club Champion in Reno.

Blending science-backed data, the mental game, and natural body movement, Bear is committed to developing elite golfers while continuing to compete at the highest level himself. The oldest of 12 children, he brings humility, discipline, and a player-first mindset to every lesson.
